Friendly Names display

I searched first but nothing displayed so i am asking.  Is there a way to enter a friendly name?  i.e., I have Projects for SQL and BI where the projects both reside in a Projects directory, but in two different parents.  so when i drag in the Projects folder (using the ALT key) I would like the friendly name to be either BI Proj or SQL Proj (as an example).
