Topic: Different Databases

How I can declare different databases?

I would like to have one DB for PDF from newspaper and another one for business, maybe more.

Is it possible to have links to web, or only to own files on my disk? Most times I start a download, but in case of videos (from youtube) it should be better to store only a link.

Thank you
Detlev

Re: Different Databases

You can use two instances of portable TaggedFrog - portable version keeps the database locally. Not elegant but will work.

Re: Different Databases

Are you sure? I downloaded
Portable version, x86 and x64 OS compatible: TaggedFrog_1.1.zip (924 KB)
but it stores its data in the (wrong*)) windows "Documents and Settings\All Users\\Application Data" path **)

*) see other thread.
**) german xp: c:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\LunarFrog\TaggedFrog\1.0

Re: Different Databases

Okay, me again smile

I now re-unzipped the package and chancged the TaggedFrog.exe.config file before first start. I set
Portable and ZeroFootprint to true (Can you explain the difference, please ?). Now the program creates its database and backup structure right in the local path. Might it be, that you packed the portable version with the wrong config file?

Re: Different Databases

Portable means "create DB in the local folder"
ZeroFootprint  means "no registry modification of any kind"
