edsferr, Yongwoo thank you for the feedback.

I think the main point of confusion here that Fileversum is not a replacement for TaggedFrog, it's a new product.

Fileversum is based on a different concept, concept of the multiple attributes per file instead of just one tags field, and is designed to be extremely flexibly. I can understand that as a current TF user you might be confused, but I appreciate your thoughts as it shows me that I need to find an approach to unlock the power and flexibility of Fileversum for the users.

And here we go. Fileversum beta is available at http://fileversum.com.

Please note, this is an early Beta and I do not recommend using it in production – it is published for the feedback gathering proposes.

Yes this is a known issue that affects users of the Korean and Chinese versions of Windows. So far there is now solution - I am rewriting whole UI to eliminate these 3rd party components and avoid it in the future.

This is a case when auto-tagging may not be suitable. TF check only the full path and if it is unique - assigns tags, there is no way to check some parts of the path for uniqueness.

The location of the database is defined in the registry and you can change the default value - please read Whatsnew.txt for the details.

Sorry but no, TaggedFrog is for PC only

tags.wft is a current database
tags.~wft is a backup

Probably you are trying to run TF from both systems simultaneously. Such scenario is not supported, you have to quit TF on one PC and start on the second.

Yep, stars, flags and colors will be supported.

If you are using portable version, the database is located in the program's folder. But both your computers should have the same file structure as TF saves the absolute file paths.

You can use "Change Drive.." feature if you need to relocate the files from drive to drive, but individual folders are not supported

I am afraid no TF for Windows Mobile, but I am looking forward to apply it for Windows 8

Portable means "create DB in the local folder"
ZeroFootprint  means "no registry modification of any kind"
