Topic: where is database stored

Hi, can you tell me where the tag database is stored on hard drive and what filename(s) are used?  I would like to make sure to backup the tag info!

Re: where is database stored

Database is stored in file Tags.wft. The file is located in the same folder as the application.

Andrei, thanks for your quick reply...but...

sorry, I don't see that file ("Tags.wft") at all.  Here's what I do see with my default Vista installation:

Directory of C:\Program Files\TaggedFrog

02/01/2009  10:48 AM    <DIR>          .
02/01/2009  10:48 AM    <DIR>          ..

01/07/2009  06:29 PM               922 License.txt
01/14/2009  12:57 PM           237,568 TaggedFrog.exe
02/01/2009  10:48 AM    <DIR>          translation
02/01/2009  10:48 AM             2,070 unins000.dat
02/01/2009  10:48 AM           695,578 unins000.exe

01/14/2009  12:57 PM            32,768 WildFrog.dll

I don't see Tags.wft.  Actually, I searched and can't find such a file anywhere on the computer.   Any ideas?

Re: where is database stored

OK, I've found it here:

C:\Users\admin\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\TaggedFrog\tags.wft

Now for a few suggestions:
1.  Allow option setting for where to put this file.  I'd like to have it on my redundant storage network drive which is a good bit safer reliability-wise than the local hard drive.  In the meantime, maybe I can figure out how to mirror it automatically.
2.  Make a way for taggedfrog to automatically handle tagged files being moved to a new location.  Or as an alternative, store tags.wft in a text-friendly format so I could edit it manually or write a program/script to do it.

In the meantime, thanks for a very useful program and I look forward to your improvements.

Yes, I am sorry – I forget that you could use Vista, not XP.
